745 women of Feni received laptops

One laptop each was handed over to 745 female trainees of Feni, Lakshipur and Chandpur districts on Wednesday afternoon under the Her Power project of Information and Communication Technology Division. State Minister for Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak handed over this laptop on behalf of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. At the call of the Deputy Minister, the gift recipients expressed their thanks to the Prime Minister by clapping.

Feni Deputy Commissioner Shahina Akhtar presided over the function while the Members of Parliament of Feni-1 Constituency Alauddin Ahmed Nasim, Feni-2 MP Nizam Uddin Hazari, Director General of ICT Directorate Mostafa Kamal, Her Power Project Director Raihana Islam, e-CAB President Shomi Kaiser, WE President Nasima Akhtar Nisha and others were present.

While addressing as the chief guest at the event, Zunaid Ahmed Palak said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be remembered in history for her strong role in the promotion of women's education, women's employment and against the practice of collective bargaining. To ensure the empowerment of women in creating smart citizens of Smart Bangladesh, taka one lakh of people's hard-earned tax has been invested in training and laptops for each trainee. You will remember this resource and money expenditure. Using gifts and blessings for you, each person will create 10 more entrepreneurs and fulfill the responsibility for the country.

We are working to ensure that every mobile network company has 4-G speed. Even instructions have already been given to those concerned to increase internet speed and reduce prices everywhere. Internet prices will be further reduced in the next 5 months.

With the aim of developing it as a hub for smart employment, the Minister of State announced freelancing training and setting up of 100 Sheikh Russell Digital Labs in each parliamentary constituency of Feni. He also said that every primary school, high school, college, madrasah, committee health clinic, land office, government office and all the institutions of Feni will be brought under high speed fixed broadband connectivity.

He further said that, 114 Sheikh Russel digital labs have been established in this district while informing about various initiatives to create technology-based youth power in Feni. Another 100 labs will be set up here. Freelancing training will be given to girls from 3 pm to 6 pm and boys from 6 pm to 9 pm in each union of the district.

Later, the state minister inspected the site of Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center in Parashuram Upazila and the progress of the ongoing work of setting up the Chandgaon Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center.
